750,000th Visitor to The Maldives meets The President
Last month, Daniella Selig from London was officially the 750,000th visiting tourists to the Maldives in 2010. This was a significant landmark and a record for the Maldives.
The death metal band “Nothnegal” is one of the newest exports of The Maldives having just returned from a hugely successful European tour involving 14 countries and 24 cities.
Maldives extended a warm welcome to the 750,000th visitor to the country today. British citizen, Mrs. Daniela Ruth Selig arrived Maldives this morning by British Airways flight which landed at 0920hrs.
The Maldives Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) and representatives from Maldives tourism industry participated in the China International Travel Market (CITM) that was held from 18 to 21 November 2010 at Shanghai, China. This is the biggest travel trade fair held in Shanghai.
