ENTRY TIMELINE
SUBMISSION STARTS: @1400HRS OF 1st DECEMBER 2012.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 1400 OF SUNDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2012
Photographs must be submitted in a CD with printed copy of each photograph (size 12RW, 18”x12”). All digital files must be 5 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG, .jpg or .tif format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image). Entrants should provide the details of the photo and RAW file if requested by MMPRC.

CATEGORIES
1.PEOPLE: The pictures submitted under the categories could include but not limited to Maldivians and tourists photographed at work, activity, sense of humor.
2.BEACHES: The pictures submitted under the categories could include but not limited to beach photos taken with palm trees, screw pine, and vegetation along with lagoon separating different blues of Maldivian water. etc
3.BLUES: The pictures submitted under the categories could include but not limited to the photos on different blues of Maldivian water. The photos can include beaches, infinity pools, water bungalows etc.
4.LANDSCAPE: The pictures submitted under the categories could include but not limited to beaches, waterfront, shopping areas, resort islands.etc
5.AERIAL: The photographs submitted under this category must be taken from an elevated position in which the camera is not supported by a ground-based structure. The photos of the islands, sandbanks, local islands, safari vessels, speed boats, seaplanes, reef systems, atolls, atoll formations, airports. etc
6.UNDERWATER: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to marine flora and fauna, wrecks and underwater activities. The photographs submitted under this category must be taken from below water surface.
7.WATERSPORTS: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to snorkeling, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, parasailing, canoeing, water skiing, wake boarding, ringo riding, banana riding, jet skiing and big game fishing. This does not include people just in the sea without involving one of the water sports activities.
8.CULTURE: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to crafts, traditional performances, historical landmarks, local lifestyle, local cuisine, festivals and celebrations, local market, fish market. etc
9.MOMENTS OF LIFE: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to special moments of tourists in the Maldives.
10.SEAPLANE: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to landing, takeoff, cruising and boarding, at the dock / platform or in the air. etc
11.SPEEDBOAT: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to arrival, departure from a resort, in the lagoon/sea. etc
12.EXCURSIONS: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to briefing to the tourists, action shots, interactions with locals, sunset cruise, dolphin cruise, barbeque, picnics, beach lunch, sailing dhoni. etc
13.NIGHT SHOTS: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to dinners, sunsets, discos, at bar. etc
14.GOURMET: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to exotic food, tropical fruit dish, lobsters, live cooking, theme nights, cooking classes, local delicacies, salads, wine cellar, fine dinning. etc
15.SPA & MEDITATION: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to massage, oils, greetings, setup, and different types of massages, therapists. etc
16.EXTREAME SPORTS: The photographs submitted under the categories could include wave surfing, kite surfing etc.
17.KIDS & FAMILIES: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to couples, kids activities and kids clubs. etc
18.CRUISE: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to local safari vessels, cruise vessels, cruise ships, life on safari vessels, supporting dhoni, . etc
19.ECO FRIENDLY: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to conservation projects, turtle projects, coral planting, reef cleaning. etc
20.SOUVENIRS: The photographs submitted under the categories could include but not limited to bank notes, coins, authentic souvenirs. etc
