Maldives participates in Reiseliv in Oslo, Norway

The Maldives Tourism Promotion Board together with Maldives Tourism Industry has participated in the Reiseliv Travel Fair held in Oslo, Norway from 11-14 January 2007.
Reiseliv is an important trade event in the Norway targeting the travel trade and consumers who want to make well informed decisions about their next long haul holiday trip. Event organizers estimated that over 40,000 consumers and travel trade visited the fair.
In conjunction with this event, Maldives Tourism Promotion Board hosted a press conference for Media and Travel Trade to provide more information on the Maldives and in specific areas such as Environmental initiatives and its link to Maldives economy and its Tourism. Representative from Maldives Association of Tourism Industries and Maldives Tourism Promotion Board answered the press questions.
Maldives Tourism Promotion Board hopes that with such initiatives in Norway and Scandinavia, it will become more popular destination among the potential tourists from the region.
